House rules, briefly
Category order
Free choice (official): after any roll, score any open category you like.
In-Order: the scorecard must be filled strictly top to bottom — each turn only the topmost open box can be scored, even if that means taking a zero. No saving Yahtzee for the perfect roll.
Bottom-Up: the same challenge in reverse — start at Chance and finish at Aces.
Mulligan
Once per game, each player may take a fourth roll on a turn after using all three. Use it wisely — it's gone after one use.
Joker rule (second Yahtzee)
Official: if your Yahtzee box already holds 50, another Yahtzee earns a 100-point bonus, then must be placed in a strict order: the matching upper box first, otherwise Three/Four of a Kind, otherwise it acts as a wild "joker" for Full House or a straight, otherwise Chance.
Infinite Joker: every extra Yahtzee earns the 100-point bonus, even if your Yahtzee box holds a zero.
No Jokers Allowed: extra Yahtzees earn no bonus and can't stand in for Full House or straights — score what the dice literally show, or take a zero.
